A really fun course, and it felt really nice to be doing sprints again! My mistake of not bringing my clue-sheet holder probably cost me 2 minutes, but didn't affect my overall place in the race or my enjoyment. I ran the whole thing without ever looking at the control descriptions, which is pretty stupid. It might work 95% of the time to run sloppily without the control descriptions, but for the 5% of the controls that it helps with, you can lose a lot of time.
So I lost one minute on #10, not realizing that it was at the top of the stairs. And I lost 2 minutes at #11, repeatedly coming within 2 or 3 meters of it, but just not seeing it. I'm not sure that knowing that #11 was at the south end of the open area would have helped me find it, though. I just needed to look more carefully at the map. I lost a lot of time there, but it was really my fault.
