DVOA, Antietam Lake, green course. I really like DVOA. They're super friendly, set good courses, and have good maps -- one of those clubs whose local meets really approach the feel of an A-meet. This map was a Zuev offprint. It was a very thoughtful green course, with a wonderful variety of leg-types and decisions. Impressive course design, in an interesting and rugged park. I was slowed by my bad calf, by difficult snow-covered rocky patches, and by fogged glasses. At such a slow pace, I navigated well, with the exception of a really really terrible mistake on one of the shorter legs -- one of those legs which afterwards you still can't even figure out where you were or what went wrong. Otherwise, a really great event in central PA. (And although James Carville might think otherwise, I still can't claim Alabama as a new state to have orienteered in.)
