Control. pickup 2:30:00 [2] 4.0 mi (37:30 / mi)
shoes: F-Lite

Clearing 9 controls and 2 water stops from OLOU's recent meet at Bernheim Forest. A nice chance to re-connect with a great orienteering venue.

Orienteering 14:28 [4] 1.8 km (8:02 / km)
shoes: O-RocII

OLOU's sprint meet at Cherokee park. A great park, and a really fun friendly vibe. Really great to see Ken, Jim, Dan, Aaron, Louis, Laurie, and everyone else. A nice course set by Ben King that would seem on paper to have been a runner's course. But I navigated very solidly -- perhaps losing only a few seconds because of hesitation here and there -- and finished quite well, despite my rather slow jog on most of the roads and trails.

Trail running 1:18:00 [3] 7.5 mi (10:24 / mi)
shoes: F-Lite

Got back to the north side of Umstead for the first time in a pretty long time for a good-sized slow run. My lungs are still a bit congested, but I made it through pretty well and enjoyed the time outside.
