Road Running (Chariot) 2:27:00 [3]
(injured) shoes: Black Red

TTP. Took Kieran out for a run in the chariot. Nice way to end a good week of training.

Taking tomorrow off. Hopefully I can be pain free for the final two weeks of training for Hali.

Haliburton. My watch said 7:12 at the end, but with the ridiculous amount of time the group spent at the mobile aid station I'm just chopping off an hour for the log. Started at the turnaround, and we took a wrong turn and added an extra 7K to the route. Vandals have removed many of the signs. I much preferred the pace in the second half and loved running the Normac loop at the end by myself most of the way. Also did three repeats of the big Normac hill and some extra time on that trail out looking for people.

Saw a moose on the trail which was pretty cool.

Knee still sore but held up okay. Despite losing a big weekend of training last week due to injury, I'm actually starting to feel fairly strong. Four weeks left.

Leg improving, but still fairly sore. Registered for Hali today, so hopefully the leg will have healed by then.

Trail Running (Headlamp) 2:00:00 [3]
(injured) shoes: Fly

Leg is still stiff and sore, but starting to see some improvement. Seems to feel better when I'm running than when I'm just sitting around. Went for my first trail run since the fall, but took things easy. Lots of fallen trees from all of the recent rain.

Tried out the Nathan race vest tonight. Looks a bit silly, but is a better alternative for me than carrying gels on a waist belt.

Injuries suck. And so does road running in the summer on garbage night.

Road Running 2:00:00 [3]
(injured) shoes: Black Red

Leg and knee still stiff and sore, but decided to go for a run anyway. Focused on short, easy strides but at a surprisingly steady pace. Wouldn't have been able to run on any trails today, but hopefully things will improve over the course of the week.
