Note

The Lowery Memorial Shuttle Run was a blast. The concept is my brain child, but NSAR added checkpoints along the way to keep us on the maps and to add some difficulty. There were some new faces there and everyone seemed to have a great time.

I had a decent enough day with few blunders hardly worth mentioning. I did misunderstand the rules though, and collected three checkpoints that weren't counted. I'm quite sure I could have slipped in a sixth lap if I did things properly. I finished in 6th. If I didn't do that extra work, I might have been in contention for 2nd... but I think some of the other guys made similar blunders so maybe not. Who knows, speculation on such things is always fun.

The highlight of the day was a bushwhack up a steep slope some 300 m round trip... in my bare feet. Tough-guy points right there.
