Lost 7-2 in game two of the finals... played well though, +1 with an assist and wasn't on for any goals. Sent some punk for a ride too. We had all our defence there though, so I didn't get much work.

Rest day yo! After Sno-Racin'! and taking down all those trees I needed it. Got home from work, made some open face chicken burgers with Snooch and then we watched Astro Boy with Bo9. Finished the evening watching the least episode of Generation Kill.

Low key, five climbs. One, Mr. Wiggles, the constant competitor gave some difficulty, but still had success without any falls.

Had an awesome climb... did five routes. While four were unremarkable, one, "Pretty but Dumb" was a great battle! It changed slightly toward the crux and I missed just about every move making it quite a struggle. Hung on to finish it though with very pumped arms! (It's 5.10)

First game of the finals... it was awesome! Setup the winning goal to take it 2-1. The game was quite physical, the refs did a great job of letting things go since it was just guys playing hard not being dirty or obstructive or anything. Towards the end one of their better players who I've been frustrating all year (he's ended up punching me several times... cool guy) grabs my stick, throws it away, punches me in the face cutting my lip, bear hugs my hands so I can't hit him and starts mouthing off. What he didn't know is that this OG has been around the block and is a surgeon with an elbow. Dead pan I ask him if he really things he's got a chance of coming out on top of this altercation at which point he started to clue in that I had been throwing him around all game, and I am about 70 lbs bigger... not to mention I look pretty B.A. in this playoff beard. At that point he did try to get away, but that bea rhug on my hands was now working against him. Gave him a swift right elbow that'll learn him not of mess around any more. I was gentlemanly enough to deliver the elbow to his head / helmet as opposed to his chin so no real harm done other than a bit of a rung bell. I imagine he'd have had to visit the Dr. for 15 minutes in a quite room if that were protocol though!

10 minutes. Yup, 10 fucking minutes... before... POP! Hyper-extended finger. Tendons make the funniest noises when they pop.

1st game of the playoffs. Lost 1-0 in OT; played well, but it was really warm and I was double shifting... ended up getting gassed too quickly due to a few long shifts! Actually scored with only a few seconds left in regulation too... but the whistle went before the puck crossed the line.

Five climbs... smoked Luvin the Alien (5.9), did Pretty but Dumb (5.10) without much trouble, Wormy Jelly (5.8) with the bouldering start (+1) and tried the Taylor Buster (5.12) again... still trying to solve that one. I think we did five... maybe just four?

I did it... I crashed while riding the trainer. Technically I wasn't on the bike at the time, but whatever. I knew it'd happen in some way shape or form. Snooch couldn't get the dog in so I had to go upstairs and outside to get him up the stairs. On my way back down to the pain-basement my usually slippery road bike shoes, coated with ice, were treacherous. Down goes O9... hard. I broke one of the stair planks with my back. It sucked. My back has a bunch of purple spots and my arm is pretty beat up too. Are there any organs on the lower left side of your back? If so, they hurt. Otherwise I'm okay, but a bit stiff.

Oh, and damn straight I finished the training session... this happened about 18 minutes in; blood cleans up easy off of the tiles. Brap-brap!

Smoked Mr. Wiggles (5.9) for the first time... perfectly.

Tried our luck at The Taylor Something (5.12) and while we had some great ideas, they just didn't pan out. A new project though!

Solid 4 km on the road, and 1 km at Bennett Park that was a bit pokey. There was a lot of flooding and sketchy frozen parts.

Watched the second period of the OTT BOS game, it was great! That was all I watched though... turned on Shameless on demand. That series looks good!
