C1 45:00 [2] 7.0 km (6:26 / km)
weight:243.5lbs

Picked up a tattered old paddle that matches my tattered old C1 that matches my tattered old technique!

15 years since I've done a decent C1 practice... and I managed to stay dry.

Saw Eclipse with Snooch. Not bad! Could have used some more fighting though.

Road Riding 1:18:21 [1] 36.8 km (2:08 / km)

Easy road ride with E-Rock... nice to catch up with her! Pulled the whole way into some nice head winds!

Running 36:39 [3] 5.61 km (6:32 / km)
weight:244lbs

Shin splints were acting up. Might have to do something about them... like keep running until they don't hurt anymore?

Did some exploring through the new clearcut behind the common park. Not sure what's up there!

Running 54:51 [3] 7.28 km (7:32 / km)
weight:245lbs shoes: XT Wings 2

Typical run with pushing the boy (~50 lbs of chariot and toddler) and pulling the dog (~130 lbs of Irish Wolfhound).

Time losses included poo and several pee times for dog, stopping to smell the flowers for the dog and stopping to explain what the monster on the leash was to a pedestrian. More include fixing Bo's fwip-fwop (flip-flop) several times, explaining to him that we'll find his penny later, stopping to hear about the many jeeps we saw and to listen to several other stories. He was in a creative mood.

What's really exciting (or not!) is toward the end of the run we were charged by two pit bulls. I love that breed, and truth be told that most any dogs probably would have charged... it's just that when it's pit bulls it's really scary! They were in the yard (unchained... bad owner alert!) and we probably startled them by running by. We walk by a lot and it's never a problem. The charged Madmartigan first and went after his hind quarters with the all talk no bite advance to size him up... Marti being Marti scattered around with a WTF expression. I let go of his lead and focused on Bo in the Chariot making sure he was clear of any action. One of the dogs managed to get between Marti and Bo, I threw Bo into the ditch and made my way between him and the pit bull but no matter, Madmartigan saw the threat and instantaneously puffed out that chest and turned from lanky, shy and docile dog into huge-assed freak show ripped with muscle I helped extinct wolves from the UK dog. Without making a sound he just stood there ready to wreck shit up and the two pit bulls tucked their tails between their legs and slinked back home.

There are a lot of lucky dogs in our neighborhood. I kind of wish Martigan wasn't so kind and gently because we're starting to encounter the same ones again because I'm running out of places to run.

Bo giving his hero some love:
