ahr:168 max:181 shoes: VJ Integrator 06/1
2 Giorni di Ticino, 2nd day, chase start.
Again rather steep but it wasn't as bad as yesterday. Caught one place. Lost a bit more than a minute on one control, otherwise I ran rather clean.
Overall it was a fun weekend in the sunny part of Switzerland :-).

Orienteering race 1:20:24 [5] **** 5.8 km (13:52 / km) +620m 9:02 / km
ahr:177 max:188 shoes: VJ Integrator 06/1
2-giorni Ticino, 1st day.
Steep, but tricky terrain. As usual I was mostly slow on the downhills, which is a problem if you have to run >750m downhill...
Except for one control I had a good run. Lost probably 3' because I dropped too much. Oh, and I messed up a route choice too...

Thursday May 25

Orienteering race 57:30 [4] **** 7 km (8:13 / km) +350m 6:34 / km
ahr:180 max:187 shoes: VJ Integrator 06/1
Jura 3-er Staffel (relay). We signed up a last-minute team with Irene, Rolf and me. Irene started strong (finished 11th) almost came back in the top 3 but lost 3' in a sketchy area. Rolf was our joker, came back 5th! I had a pretty good run, lost only a minute or two and one place. We're very happy with our 6th place!

Wednesday May 24

Orienteering 37:00 [3] 3.5 km (10:34 / km) +75m 9:33 / km
ahr:130 shoes: VJ Integrator 04
Hanging some more markers for the relay. Having problems this time in some strangely mapped terrain to find the right locations.
Orienteering 45:00 [3] 5 km (9:00 / km) +160m 7:46 / km
ahr:128 shoes: VJ Integrator 04
Picking up markers after the relay. I'm not sure if this still qualifies as training, it felt more like hiking with a map and carrying around a bunch of controls....

ahr:148 shoes: VJ Integrator 04

Running 35:30 [3] 8 km (4:26 / km) +25m 4:22 / km
shoes: Asics 05
A bit faster than usual.

Monday May 15

Note
Legs still hurt from the race on pavement, no training today. I'll also have to skip the next two days due to business travel. Never mind, I can need some rest!

Sunday May 14

Bike 1:30:00 [3] 25 km (3:36 / km) +460m 3:18 / km
shoes: Scott MC 20
Fun biking with Rolf (except that he took a somewhat bad fall towards the end). Not pushing too much because of yesterday...

Saturday May 13

Event: Grand Prix von Bern

Running race 1:03:05 [5] 10.0 mi (6:18 / mi) vdot: 55.0
ahr:179 shoes: Asics Kayano 06
GP Bern.
First time I ran the GP, it is indeed a very nice race! Twice through the old town of Bern and some nice stretches in between. I'm very happy with my race, I was hoping for a sub 4'/km, which I managed despite the climb (150m). Started a bit slow but could push it towards the end which was very motivating.

C • Adventure Racing here Michi comes!! 3

Monday May 8

Running 50:00 [3] 9 km (5:33 / km) +120m 5:12 / km

Sunday May 7

Bike race 2:08:00 [4] 40 km (3:12 / km) +800m 2:55 / km
shoes: Scott MC 20
3rd race Bike-O Swiss Cup
Again, a reasonable race. I loose some time to the 3rd which I don't understand and made one questionable routechoice but otherwise I'm happy. Surprisingly I still felt strong towards the end.

ahr:144 shoes: Scott MC 20
Bike-O training Könizbergwald
Very nice training with many tricky turns where you had to have constant map contact. However, after 2 loops at the Bike-O earlier this year and two loops today I start to know this map pretty well...

Tuesday May 2

Running 55:00 [3] 9.2 km (5:59 / km) +55m 5:48 / km
ahr:131 max:172 shoes: Asics Kayano 06
Interval-ish with Irene. 2x 4' pacing her on 5 min/km 3x pacing her for 2' then going 2' on 4min/km. Too lazy to do more...
