fun day yesterday for M's bday. drinks at union, dinner at the privateer, and then hanging out at Ian's. good to be busy.

only taking pain meds before bed and going to try not taking them tonight. pain gets shitty at times but i can handle it.

i'm done sitting around. I am surgery 6/17 and i don't feel that bad. I plan on walking long with ruby every day this week and thinking about jumping on the trainer. legs are great, craving some sweat.

meeting with ortho yesterday and it looks like surgery on 6/17. i would like sooner but the doc is out all week next week and this was cool and highly recommended. he offered to have one of his colleagues do it but i want a good guy cutting me open.

he said i could start running as soon as i was pain free but obviously can lift anything or do anything weight bearing for 6ish week post surgery. a bit of hope.

the limiter is going to be my ribs any way.... still f'n killing me with every movement.

also got "the tent" yesterday. i am stoked to watch Maggie prepare for leadville and see if it makes a difference.

slept through the night.. a lot on my mind so it took a bit to fall asleep. started to feel a bit more normal. getting a lot done on work and life front since nothing else to do.

appt with the orthopedic surgeon later today.

sound sleep and crazy ass dreams. thank you percocet. had a good nap yesterday after getting home from work.... but I'm bored as hell.

I need to get some good books and maybe a playstation or something to get me through the next couple of months. resisting the urge to just start slamming beers at 3pm!

more solid sleep and little less pain getting in and out of bed. i worked a half day in the office yesterday. sitting at my desk for too long sucks. it really starts getting to my ribs. I was up for a network maintenance last night and more this week. we are really busy at work and thats good for me... i need something to do and I'm stoked my boss and coworkers are really understanding about my injuries and broken state.

yesterday was the also the first day i got kind of pissed off and over it. one week and i'm already going stir crazy. i can't believe some people choose to sit on the couch all day... i love being outside.... but my ribs hurt with every step i take.

back to work today. sleeping well and taking less meds. stomach seems to be kinda back to normal. still little to no appetite.

ribs are very achey waking up and collar bone is just nuisance. hoping to find out about surgery this morning.
