Tinto Twin day event, SOL 7, Inchriach, Brown course. 23/29. Won by Tim G in 60'30. Again, fairly positive despite lowly position. All went very well to start with but lost it a bit later - 2'30 at no. 9, 1' at no. 12 and then 1'30 at 13 - I had just got overtaken by paw and was trying to put up something at least resembling a fight - I headed left round some buildings which I thought he was going around to the right... but it turned out he was going the right way and I was running off in entirely the wrong direction. Oh well. Enjoyed the course.

Tinto Twin night event @ Inchriach. Despite coming last on course 1 this wasn't too bad by the standard of my previous night orienteering... No truly enormous errors (which I have done before at night) but a minor miss at 5 (2'30) and two fairly serious misses at 4 and 11 (10' each). The error at 4 came about from following my compass as a path rather than trying to navigate the reasonably easy route along a steep slope and then over. Took ages to relocate (or rather about 10 seconds from when I started standing still and thinking after 10 mins of running around). I doubt I missed 11 by much but just couldn't relocate and had to go out to the road and back. Should have taken a safe route. Fun though. NIght orienteering is so much more feasible with a proper headlamp.
