Running long 1:22:45 [1] 9.25 mi (8:57 / mi)
weight:76.3kg shoes: Asics Gel DS 17 White 4

Tired from yesterday (although as with other hill races my achilles tendons seem to feel better rather than worse for the outing) but got myself out to the door to do a couple of laps of AS at a slow pace to make 40 mile week target.

Running 1:25:55 [3] 6.5 mi (13:13 / mi) +600m 10:16 / mi
weight:76.3kg shoes: Orocs

Devil's Burdens... Leg 2 (reverse direction to previous leg 3... i.e. over West Lomond and Bishop's Hill) with Dan Clements. Good run - Dan was running better on the uphill path early on, and the last uphill to the West Lomond and I seemed to do better offroad and downhill. We were equally trashed on the track running near the end.

Some nav due to fog and was happy to get the spring control and route off the West Lomond accurately, but made a mistake on last control of both route choice an execution. Should just have run in a straight line like everyone else. Might have cost as much as 5 mins but don't really know, my Garmin 610 watch strap now falling off so easily it wasn't practical to actually take. Good fun - tired later!

Running 1:18:00 intensity: (50:00 @1) + (28:00 @5) 13.5 km (5:47 / km)
weight:76.3kg (injured) shoes: Asics Gel DS 17 White 4

Trotter Training. Went along planning on taking it easy but felt pretty good and seemed to do fairly well compared to usual. Roll of the dice minute reps, 2,2,3,2,6,2,5 or something like that. Took the last one easy as quads starting to hurt but ran the rest hard. This 'doing more miles' stuff seems to be working, which of course it should... New shoes to try to get achilles to settle.

Running 36:40 [1] 4.43 mi (8:17 / mi)
weight:76.9kg shoes: Asics Gel DS 17 No3

Run (verb), moving forwards faster than walking such that there are times when both feet are off the ground, often muddy if done round Inverleith Park.

Running (Tarmac) 1:08:05 [1] 12.8 km (5:19 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel DS 17 No3

Evening tarmac run up Corstorphine Road, round the hill, along Queensferry Road then Ravelston. Longish run to get back into the miles-tiredness after a day off yesterday. On the one hand, a good route for a steady evening run. On the other hand, my achllles tendons are feeling worse so I had better not get into the habit of long road running.

Trying to up cadence to be lighter on my feet - 170 took quite a bit of effort.
