Easy run - tired although too bad.

End of lower mileage week (although hard to call it a truly easy week with a good intervals session and a good race). Mpw since return from injury... 15, 25, 32, 26, 37, 41, 40, 30.

National x country @ Falkirk. 195/503. +24.4%. 5.5 mins faster than last year so very happy with that. Was being really quite useless on the hills - I often avoid killing myself on them so I can run properly on the flat but was overdoing that. Still, all going in the right direction. 30th M40.

18 days since my last rest day. Not sure I've ever done that before. Have always been a minimum one day a week rest day merchant. But I'm trying to do things a bit Jack-Daniel's-Running-Formula-y and he's not very into days off. As I thought might be the case, my achilles tendons seems to do OK with no complete rest days - breaks down scar tissue faster than it builds up maybe.

Back to Martin's intervals feeling a bit tired but aerobically fit (if that makes sense) - 4'33, 4'26, 4'26, 4'26, 4'23, ave. 4'26.6 = 3'33/km. Not far off my 4'25 PB from early November. Really happy with that - recent mileage must have been helping. Quite a lot of orienteers and trotters present. RobinG beat me by at least 5" on the last one after doing ks.
