Long run in from Balerno through HW then canal, WoL then some number of laps of the Meadows. I think this is the longest run I've done in terms of distance. Went through a bad patch at 13 miles but settled down again and held pace right to the end. Hmmm. If I want to do a marathon at some point (and I'd better get round to it soonish) I think I'd want to be at this point 2 months out, which would be enough time to get comfortable with this distance, run it faster and do some 20+ milers, but for now interesting to run further than I'm used to. Gut bad after.

Trotter Training - 5 x Boglauf (with the hill at the top added to the usual route). Paired with a visiting Canadian who was too modest to admit how fast he was so ahead after the first rep. Longshorts and Adrian clearly running a bit faster than me and Chuck a little faster than that. Good session.

Easy run in the fading light. Left hamstring still quite tense so stretching lots. My training now seems to be medium hard Tue/Thu/Sat with recovery jogs on the other days. Not necessarily a bad structure for now, I hope.

Martin's Intervals. Late partially deliberately as still a bit injured (back not so bad now, left hamstring still sore) but ended up missing two rather than one. Then 3'29, 3'29, 3'27 - happy enough given tiring week last week. Left hamstring is on the mend with some stretching but was tightening up and wouldn't have got away with full session.

Didn't get home until 10pm but went out for an easy run anyway to relax mentally and physically. Left hamstring has been problematic for 3 days now. There was me thinking I had been to three consecutive physio appointments over 6 months without being told I had tight hamstrings.
