Cycling 1:48:00 [1]
weight:74.9kg (injured)

32k cycle. Knee fine - well, both knees tired from not being used to cycling but didn't feel like any kind of injury. Cross training it is then.

Running 1:12:00 [1] 11.6 km (6:12 / km) +80m 6:00 / km
weight:75.8kg (injured) shoes: GT1000 Blue/white no.1

Tried a run 20 mins / walk 5. Could have continued to train for Comrades if that was possible. But it wasn't, knee only seems to be able to handle a few miles running a day then it gets sore. Left knee is really not happy nor apparently going to fix itself easily.

Rowing Machine 30:00 [1]
weight:75.8kg

Physio appointment. Plan is to move left leg out a bit, trying to land with it centered under hip and weight through the centre. He noticed I don't use my calves much to push off but leave that for another time.

Running 53:00 [3] 9.9 km (5:21 / km) +150m 4:59 / km
weight:75.3kg shoes: GT1000 Blue/white no.1

Trotter training, intervals around the seat. Ran them slowly, to see how the knee would cope. It was almost fine but went at the end, after running downhill.

Running 30:00 [1] 5.2 km (5:46 / km)

Possible victory for the scientific method. Video yesterday shows left leg clearly too close to midline - my feet would be running in line with each other if the right leg was doing the same. Made myself run on treadmill with feet about as far apart as on the elliptical trainer, trying to get a slight lift from the hip on each stride rather than letting hip collapse. No knee pain. Getting tired from ongoing feeling of waddling by 30 mins so stopped while it was going well.
