Fife Coastal Path Relay recce, leg 1 with Jill. Well, skipped the first few miles of boring tarmac bashing and started at Culross. A bit tired, as always, but ran the distance better than I have of late and just about got to the end without slowing. Except on the hills, which surprisingly exist.

TT was a Cragathon... head to head race over Radical Road, Carlton Hill loop, back other side of the bog.

Tired, of course, but ran better than of late.

Achilles tendons a bit rough after and left knee sore for the first time in ages (despite tape). Running down the tarmac of the radical road in trail shoes is not really what the doctor ordered.

Got my sprints done, 12 x 14 alternate left footfalls which I think is about 100m. Felt OK. New shoes (which was intended) without orthotics (which I forgot). No tape.

Clear plan - get stronger and get my maximum speed up so that goal race and training speeds feel easier.

Achilles tendons not so good at the mo.

Was going to do more sprints but my left knee (untaped) was a bit sore early on and I was quite tired so I took it easy. Hopefully I'll get a harder session tomorrow.
