Post ceilidh sore back so not running. I'm not really managing hard/easy weeks. More hard/collapse weeks at the mo.

Parkrun. A bit tired, and never good at this time in the morning, and feeling heavy, but it was a nice morning for it and I'm feeling a bit more 'normal' running, although still slow. This was my half marathon pace in 2012/2013. Hmm.

Left achilles very sore and legs tired so just rowing.

Note

Have restarted not only the achilles exercises but raised front leg lunges or whatever they are called.

Easy run with 10x flat out sprints. Really tired and left achilles sore at the mo (have lost ability to do 3 x 20 calf lowering with 25kg rucksack, working on getting it back). Strange that I can do flat out sprints hard enough to feel like it is some useful kind of training even if I'm sufficiently tired that I couldn't do a meaningful tempo run or long reps. Suggests good pattern for 3 sessions in a week for me would be

Long Run / Easy / Easy / Long Intervals / Sprints / Easy / Easy

or swap the long run and intervals.

Left calf sore, and tired, so skipped planned sprints and had an easy run. Felt pretty good to begin with but felt faint after 20 mins and slowed. Maybe an effect of attempts at dieting?
