Running long 1:30:40 [1] 18.0 km (5:02 / km) +70m 4:56 / km
weight:80.6kg shoes: GT 1000 Yellow/Black 2

Sunday run up canal to first bridge past the bypass and back. Legs all tired to begin with but felt fine once I got going and finished faster than I started. Left knee complaining a bit from 60 mins. Managed 40 mile week plan this time.

Running 28:47 [4] 7.0 km (4:07 / km) +10m 4:05 / km

TT was a time trial up the canal and back which I did at "10 or so mile pace". Felt OK once I got going although I couldn't quite keep up with Gash (or JamRo once he overtook back). Bodes well given more training and 5kg.

Running 37:06 [1] 7.3 km (5:05 / km) +70m 4:51 / km
weight:81.5kg shoes: GT 1000 Yellow/Black 2

Lunchtime run around Inverleith Park. Felt tired to begin with but ran fine once I got going. New watch gives me the option to describe how I feel during each run as "Excellent"/"Very Good"/"Good"/"Average"/"Poor". I think I'll treat those as "Good"/"OK"/"Tired"/"Very Tired"/"Stupid Even Trying to Run".

Running 28:30 [1] 5.4 km (5:17 / km) +60m 5:00 / km
weight:82.8kg shoes: GT 1000 Yellow/Black 2

Tired, but to be expected. First run with shiny new Suunto Spartan Sport GPS watch. Groovy user interface, but couldn't work out how to tell when it had acquired satellites so missed first bit of run, will try harder tomorrow.

Running 52:00 [3] 7.2 km (7:13 / km) +54m 6:58 / km
weight:82.5kg shoes: Mudclaw 300 (Blue)

ESOC Hair of the Dog @ Covenanters Wood. Great format for a novelty Xmas event - 50 mins to put out one of the controls, go through controls in monotonically increasing control number, collect control back, with scrabble letters to pick up/swap as you go. Course far longer than I could have managed so had to skip quite large sections. Noticed that lots of the last controls were close-ish but then people started collecting controls in in time to get back and it all got quite frantic in the last few mins.

Felt overweight, slow and generally dopey but really enjoyed myself nonetheless.
