Warm up before Devil's Beeftub, cut back of leg on barbed wire fence, ran down the ascent, back to registration, registered, back to start...

Devil's Beeftub race. 57/133, won by Murray, +40%. 12/20 V40. Have always avoided this before as it's so short but was good fun, short sharp shock. Felt OK on steep ascent although as I spent the rest of the race overtaking I guess the ascent was my worst bit. Held my place on the descent which is progress.

Evening easy run around IP, achilles got v. sore 2 mins after leaving the grass, walked last bit. So much for the Ravenna's being the solution to all achilles woes.

Evening tarmac jog. Achilles a bit sore with the tarmac, knee coping, tired but right side of the line.

Back to counting mileage Thursday - Wednesday (M-W being good days to adjust for a target, Sunday being the stupidest day to have to add miles on to make a goal etc.) 35 mile / 56km. Fine (although not fast running at all). Next week 30m/48h max.

Usual lunchtime run. Not too bad, no specific problems.

Easy evening tarmac run. A bit fatigued with rolling 35 miles but right side of the line for once and felt OK once I got going.
