Nervous of fitness so not much warm up at all.

JK Day 3, Beaudesert and Brereton Hayes. Long distance. 12th (9th brit), +36% (+28% to AndyS). Enjoyed this and ran better than I have been, not too much climb. Looking at splitsbrowser I was 2 places higher at 15 but did slow down after that. Worst appears to be tougher forest legs, 16, 17, especially 20 where I did pfaff around in rough forest as well as failing to take a faster path option, probably losing about 3 mins, 25 (went round path when no apparent need), 26 (there was a hill). 10th overall (7th brit) which is as good as I could have hoped for. Some motivation to keep trying to sort my fitness out. Results Overall Results

JK Middle Distance, 14th on M45 +37% to a Norwegian. Enjoyed the course and navigated reasonably well but feeling slow on the slopes and not very dextrous on the terrain. HR only averaging 143 with terrain pfaff. Had hoped for a wee bit faster TBQH. Results

JK Sprint at MOD Stafford. 11th M45, +1'28 (10.4%); (1'15, 8.8%) to Brits). Quite good run considering current form and weight. Enjoyed it but it was just not a challenging enough area for the planner to have had much scope to make it difficult. Results

Failed to start my watch until 3/4 of the way round the course. HR for the last bit was ave. 157, hitting 165 on final sprint, which is much more like it.
