Dollar Hill Race on a hot day. Didn't feel too bad at the start, achilles really aching going up the first hill (although I think this kind of scar tissue breaking is good) and was just generally poor on that ascent. Hoped to then pick up some speed running along the tops and get my act together but didn't really, one person got past me and otherwise kept my pace. Then got to the descent off King's Seat and just didn't have any leg strength left for the descent, Mickey ran past me (beating me to the finish by 14 mins) and I went at basically walking speed with people running past asking me if I was OK.

Dunno what happened there. Just tired, guess I've been tired this week and probably could have done with more rest in advance. I could do with spending winter in the gym.

Went to TT, prob shouldn't have as tired, we did some half assed reps around a field then went to the Edinburgh beer festival.

My achilles tendons have been so very sore, new pair of Asics Gel 1000s and orthotics back in. Felt better, for this run at least.

Meadows 5k, 20.02. Feeling fairly tired on a hot evening, have felt tired all week. Tried to run to pace at 4min/k. Lost it a bit in second lap then Ivor caught me than almost got back to that schedule.
