Feel surprisingly OK, no injury problems. Knee and achilles both fine today. Second week over 60k so day off. Unlike to make any of the 6 days in the end. Could potentially have got over today but Auchengarrich is my second least favourite area on earth (after Dunalastair) which didn't aid motivation!

I've done a few stupid things in life but they were usually unintentional rather than things as obviously and premeditatedly stupid as running the 7 Hills, 7 Beers challenge with HBT. This was, um, interesting. Getting over and down Arthur’s seat after 6 pints was... slow. Ran with StuM, who was better at running by some margin but slower at drinking. Rules were complete the seven hills of the normal race in the normal order with a pint (ideally cask) in a pub before each. No tinnies (like Carnethy had at a golf club during their purported record for this challenge). Pubs were the Albannach, Roseburn Bar, Winstons (many others went to the Corn Exchange), the Waiting Room, Braid Hills Hotel, John Leslie's, the Kilderkin. Was overtaken three times by Ray and Tom.

Meadows mile race. Annual 3 x 1 mile relay as middle leg in a typical HBT disorganisation surprising team of LauraR, me and then Ivor. Frustratingly 5:55 for a mile appears to be by best vdot for a while. Sigh.
