Sunday run, felt tired and still not over EMF half, picked up and had a good section in the middle then my calves sort of ran out of strength at about 8 miles and I limped in. Hoping to have a more normal week next week.

Taking son #2 round an O course earlier he lost his shoe in a bog and I had the new experience of spending 10 minutes on my hands and knees raking through the bog with my hands looking for the shoe under the surface. Found it eventually!

Trying to plot summer training strategy for autumn half marathon (one bit of strategy I'm clear on is I'm getting back to marathons via doing half marathons well and feeling good about them, ideally getting comfortable with 50+ mpw before looking at another marathon). However it's hard to schedule intervals or whatever when mostly I just need to lose weight.

HBT were doing the VKVK, 1000m climb (6 x MFD) with 6 bottles of VK. I usually join in these things out of FOMO but am currently off caffeine and really really didn't want to drink 6 VKs so I stayed sober and slogged up and down the hill - I did only manage 5 times and struggled at that. I would have done more to get to 1k climb but my GPS watch died and I was last person who hadn't given up so off to the pub it was.
