River paddling 1:45:00 [3] 18.0 km (5:50 / km)
shoes: Spirit PRS Ski

was a bit chilly. I have not done an early morning paddles as I wanted to see how much more cold weather gear i need for the avon. I did not fall in, but need some gloves and another layer on my core and legs.

The paddle was good until it poored down with rain with 5km left.

MTB Riding (Jarrahdale MTBO) 1:24:00 [3] *
spiked:13/13c slept:9.0 weight:81kg shoes: Giant XTC2 With XT Wheels

Riding through the rain...good times.

1 - Came from the south on this one as i went along a wide and faster road, but overshot the control
2 - Went west to pickup the wide road and then jutted onto the small track closer to the control
3 - Went west again and went along the track near the out of bound area, picked up the track and hit the control perfectly
4 - found easy
5 - went along the track parallel to the railway line and had a little fun finding the right track, lost about 45-60 seconds, but then found the track with the control
6 - went out to the road and into the main entry of langford park. found easily
7 - went on the road again, past the round about, took all the right turns and hit the control
8 - enjoyed the downhill run from 7 and did a dogleg past 8 to get to it
9 - went the alternate track crossing part and found 9, track was not all too clear through here
10 - once i got out of the so called track from 9 i found the downhill jumps and hit the right track out to the control
11 - up the big hill and then down on the west side of the control. missed the first turn off obviously and got a little confused with the tracks. Found a massive drop as i had gone too far south, and then backtracked and found the control.
12 - found andy (my newbie mate that I did the munda biddi with) on the way and got him to come in with me as he had clearly lost the track and could not find 8 (he left 4 mins before me and I was not going terribly fast.
13 - nice easy find on the mound

Overall pretty happy, made a couple nav mistakes that were not too major. Not the fastest but had fun doing it (except the rain)

Would have gone for a paddle if I had brought my towel.
