Was going to make today a complete rest day but my legs were hurting too much...so decided to go and give them a little work out to loosen them up.

Ride from my place around the river to wilson and going around on bike paths...not really a hard smash out but a good way to make my legs slightly walkable again.

Well the first half marathon i've ever done....damn i'm really sore a day after the race.

Ended up placing 321/2508 so I'm pretty stoked.

The funniest thing about the race which did not twig for me while running because I was focusing on running is that I was actually in front of the winner of the race for 4kms! How you ask? Well...after the climb off the terrace and malcolm st I was about 50-60m behind the leaders and a whole pack of them continued down kings park road instead of into kings park along fraser...oops...people shouted at them saying "wrong way"...but they kept going. It was not until i got down towards the bottom of the kings park course near UWA end that I saw a road bike with a leaders flag on it closely followed by some fast moving kenyans.
wooosh!

Walked up the hill at underwood briefly and then up Bold park hill with the walks totaling less than 300m.

Last run before the half marathon in the city 2 surf. Had to slow down my run for my mate....he started fading at the 6km mark where i felt I got better
