Decided a run to work (about 19km) would be good training for the half marathon for the City to surf. Got less than 5km in on the run and rolled the ankle. Silly me decided it would be ok to continue going on it. At the 1 hour mark after jogging and then coming to a walk I called home for a pickup.

Ankle has swollen up pretty bad. A little more than a golf ball size of swelling has been added. Looks like there shall be a decent break from running for at least the next 4 weeks. I am going to see a physio this time definitely.

Ocean Paddling 40:00 [3] 6.5 km (6:09 / km)
shoes: Spirit PRS Ski

Ocean paddle off leighton. Got through the first set of breakers just off the shore before getting smashed by a big wave curling over me at the second set of breakers. Stayed on but got knocked off by a second set and the ski went towards the shore. Got the ski and realized my hat had come off. Collected that before getting back on in the foam and paddled out again with success through a foaming wave.

Nice out once past the breakers with big swell but not choppy. Paddled out to the north mole and back in again
