Running race (Trail/Ultra) 12:37:00 [4] 86.0 km (8:48 / km) +17000ft 6:46 / km

World Trail Champs - felt like I ran well for a good portion of this race, but I really struggled in the last 15km of the course or so! Maybe I wasn't prepared for that last kicker of a climb...maybe I just went out a hair harder than I realized...maybe the heat of the day got to me? Either way, it was a tough death-slog to the finish over the last climb. But, I finished dammit!!! Achilles hurt every step of the way - frustrating!!!

Easy road/trail run with Cassie and Yassine - ran down to the lake and then along the bike path a bit. Achilles is aching a bit (don't know why this has crept up), but otherwise legs feel good.

Paced Kristin in Vermont City Marathon (after running around to cheer folks on throughout the race). Her hip was bothering her, so we ran a bit slower than she expected...running at a great pace (8 to 8:30 pace) when running but having to stop often to stretch out the hip. Felt bad, but did what I could...

Bear Mountain 50k - felt horrible at the beginning...no energy in my legs. Ran on bonk for the whole way, but ultimately learned to run with it. Ended up running my fastest time ever on the course...no idea how...
