Running (Easy Run) 3:40:00 [1] 22.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Easy run w/ Jen at Callahan. Felt completely relaxed with pace - pushed the tempo on uphills when Jen was working her power hiking (and then would double back). Tried out a few random foods during the run also...here's hoping...

No idea the distance - easy training run w/ Brian at Mt. Tom. Started around reservoir, up B17, across ridge to parallel path and up to top of the ski hill. Then, down and up the ski hill and back to reservoir/car. Felt good - easy pace - Brian tried to kill me running me up the hills, but we set an easy pace and ran all the way up.

Note

While not technically training, spent the rest of the day doing trail building work. Approximately 4-5 hours of hard manual labor...fun! :)

Easy run w/ Nick - to Tower #1 and back.

Running (Tempo Run) 1:00:00 [3] 8.0 mi (7:30 / mi)

Tempo workout w/ Kim at Reservoir. Did ~2 mile warmup, then did 30 minutes continuous tempo - approximately 4.4 miles. Felt relaxed and strong/steady. Did ~1.5 mile cooldown. Was surprised that I had any speed in the legs after last week's race, but didn't feel like I was working overly hard to keep the tempo up.

Walking (Walking/hiking) 1:30:00 [1] 9.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Ran warmup at Whiting Reservoir (short way) to meet up w/ Abby and Erik. Then, did 3 x hiking repeats up B17 hill (just over 1 mile long, good climb, took about 13-15 minutes each). Ran down (recovery) and then ran short way on Whiting as cooldown. The third hike up hurt, but I was racing Abby and Erik who were running, so it pushed me to go hard.

Did morning run with the girls in Holyoke, but added extra distance to make 1.5 hours (for mid-week longer run). Felt ok, but legs don't have zing on the hills.

Running (Hiking/running) 1:20:00 [1] 8.5 mi (9:25 / mi)

Ran at Whiting Reservoir/Mt. Tom w/ Chris. Did warmup (30 minutes) around reservoir, then did 2 x hiking repeats up the B-17 hill. Didn't time it, but we were moving at a good clip. Ran down both times, then ran short route (~10 minutes) back to the car.
