Running (Trail race) 1:42:00 [3] 13.0 mi (7:51 / mi)

Busa Bushwack. Gosh, this felt rough! My upper hammies are still tight, so my running stride felt tight. My chest was also tight and breathing wasn't the best. However, I had a blast running around the Callahan trails, and ran the last few miles in a battle w/ fellow MHS runner (I beat him!). Only about 30 seconds faster over the course than last year - was hoping for better. Race was 10 miles/1:18.

Day off? Don't know how to count the day - I coached the team at our Conf. Champs...but that took all day. I did plenty of moving and running around, but it wasn't continuous and I wouldn't know how to quantify it.

Easy run w/ team - last day of practice. Abby and I ran at Holyoke Res. with team. Felt stiff - upper hammies are tight!

Note

Woke up this morning with a horrible case of the spins - never had that before, but was totally freaked out! I ended up hydrating a ton, taking in some decongestant (in case it's a congestion thing in my ear), and resting for most of the day. I maybe could have run in the afternoon but I didn't trust it since I was so 'wobbly' that morning.

Easy run w/ Kim. No idea the time (might get it off her training log!), but felt tight still, especially in the early portions of the run. Did loop from Kim's house to Look Park via Rt. 9 and back on bike path. Think pace was ok, but still wish my legs felt better.

Went to practice with my team, but upper hammies still stiff, so I sent them for a warmup loop, met them afterwards to send them on striders, and then sent them on a cooldown. Didn't really run myself, just stretched.

Easy run w/ Annie - no idea the actual time, but it felt slow to me. Legs still tight, but felt mostly ok once they loosened up. Ran from house up towards E'town and back on back roads (around Hamden Ponds).

Easy run w/ team. No idea the actual distance, but felt comfortable (yet not too easy). Ran at Holyoke Res, but explored the trails and Narnia.

Running (Easy run w/ team) 45:00 [1] 4.5 mi (10:00 / mi)

Super easy run w/ team. The team did 1:30ish repeats...I warmed up wtih them, then ran around cheering them on. I am super sore from Bimbler's, and I was in no shape to push anyone in the workout. Upper hammies and lower back the worst two places.
