Running (Easy run) 2:00:00 [1] 14.0 mi (8:34 / mi)

Easy run w/ Brian at Leominster State Park - felt good after about 1 hour of running - Brian picked up the pace just a hair for the last few miles - I think he just wanted to be done. It all felt good, altho my hammies are just a touch tight.

Running (easy run) 58:00 [1] 7.0 mi (8:17 / mi)

Easy run at the Res w/ Annie, two big loops. The geese were out with their kids, so that slowed us a bit...but oh well. Glad to get in a few miles before work.

Running (Easy run) 1:00:00 [1] 7.8 mi (7:42 / mi)

Easy run w/ Kim and Laura - did the Noho morning route (bike path)...and I thought I was just a hair sluggish this morning since the girls were just a bit ahead of me, but it turns out we were runnning slightly faster than normal instead. Oh well - glad to stretch the legs out.

Walking (Hiking) 1:12:00 [1] 7.0 mi (10:17 / mi)

Hiking hill repeats w/ Nick. Ran from car to bottom of B17 hill (1.5 mile, 12 min), then did 2 x B17 hill (~1 mile up, 16 min, ~1 mile down, 8 min x 2) and recovery to the car (~1.5 mile, 12 min). Felt good, 2nd time up was better...need to keep doing this since towards the top the 2nd time I could feel the hiking muscles were getting tired.

Running (Tempo run) 1:31:45 [3] 12.6 mi (7:17 / mi)

Tempo run at Noho Community Gardens/Smith College trails. Started at the community gardens and did loop towards Smith Track then out on river trail by the Japanese House, around a neighborhood and back to the Jap House (5.5 miles, 41 minutes). Then, did 2 mile tempo run back to my car (13:10, 2 miles). Felt good, second mile was better - maybe because it was more downhill, maybe because I was more 'in the groove'. Then, met w/ Elms team and did ~1 mile warmup (1 mile, 8 minutes), then did Tuesday Noho 5k race at tempo (3.1 miles, 21:20) and did ~1 mile cooldown (1 mile, 8 minutes). Overall great workout, felt great when stretching out the stride on the tempo portions. Averaged 7:36 for easy portion of the run and 6:46 for the tempo portions (goal was 6:45s), so I felt good about the workout, especially since the first 7 miles were on my own. I wish I could have done the workout more continually, but was ok with the overall run.

Running (Easy run) 1:35:00 [2] 10.6 mi (8:58 / mi)

Easy run w/ Jeff - did two loops around a 5.3 mile circuit at Highland Park. He was aiming to 'negative split', so I could feel when he picked up the pace a bit on the second lap. Calf felt tight at the beginning but warmed up. Felt strong on the flats throughout, and the slight downhills, but felt like he was pushing the slight climbs and steep climbs a bit. But maybe I'm a bit more fatigued than I thought from the weekend, who knows. He picked out a fun circuit that had plenty of rolling and some steep ups and downs.
