Running (Long run) 2:50:00 [1] 22.4 mi (7:35 / mi)

Long rolling run around Westfield/Southampton w/ Ashley and Annie. Ashley joined us for the first 12.3 miles (1:34) and kept the pace honest (this may be the first time I thought the GPS watch was great - since she kept telling us if we were ducking below 7:30 pace...and ultimately that saved us. Then, Annie and I added on another 10.1 (1:16) to the run. Felt good!

Easy spin on the bike to relax the legs...felt good.

Running (Tempo-ish run) 59:00 [3] 8.2 mi (7:12 / mi)

Tempo-ish run w/ Annie and Laura. Annie was a bit excited, I guess, so we started out wasy with a ~7:30 mile (me holding them back), and then did 4 miles at a tempo-ish pace - 7:05, 7:15 (uphill), 6:35 (downhill), 6:55. It felt mostly good (the 6:35 mile felt super fast, and I was falling behind!), but that's ok. Relaxed for the last few miles at around 7:30 pace. Felt pretty good, and not really that hard.

Super easy run w/ Rachel - we did a bit of 'off roading' with weak headlamps (and icy trails), so that was slow...but in general it was a nice easy run around S. Hadley.

Wednesday Feb 8, 2012 #

Track workout w/ the girls - warmed up about 20 minutes (2.5 miles?) then did my 800s - again, goal of 3:10ish (or below). Did 3:08, 3:04, 3:04, 3:05, 3:05, 3:05, 3:05, 2:59. Recovery was between 200 and 600, depending on when I could find someone to pace me! I was relatively pleased, especially with the last interval. Warmed down for about 10 minutes (1.25 miles?). Legs felt heavy for the last two intervals, so I know I'll feel this a bit tomorrow. :)

Easy medium-long run w/ Annie and Laura around Westfield and Southampton - Hampden Ponds loop. We did the typical 10 mile loop and added the East Street hill to add distance. What were we thinking? :)

Easy run w/ Dana and Ed - around Amherst College and on bike path. Felt good - we hit up a few easy trails which I enjoyed.

Running (Easy run) 1:05:00 [1] 7.0 mi (9:17 / mi)

Easy run around the trails at Sugarloaf w/ Aaron S. and Brian. Felt pretty decent, calves are a bit tight from Sunday's run but otherwise it was good. It was 50 degrees out, and I wore capris and a t-shirt!
