Running (Easy run) 2:10:00 [1] 15.0 mi (8:40 / mi)

Easy run on Green River Road - was hard to get going the first mile or two (at least that was more downhill, so that helped)...but once I was moving things went well and while it was tired running, it wasn't that bad. At the end I was warmed up enough that I was able to run up the last hill strong. After pacing for Brian and getting in nearly 40 miles on Saturday, I figured it was ok to cut this run a few miles short...plus I was super tired and just wanted to go home and sleep.

Laurel Highlands 50k - went...eeehhhh. I was running super strong for most of the race, but from mile 24-27ish I just hit a dehydration wall and basically stopped making forward progress. I guess the lesson learned is to always carry more fluids than you anticipate needing, because I was running out a few miles before every aid station. But, at least I did rally once I got some fluids in me and was able to run strong over the last few miles of the race.

Ok, so Brian came into his last aid station hating life...so much as I had just finished my race only a few hours earlier (and those few hours were spent driving around trying to find Brian, so no down time!)...still, he needed some company and someone to get him to just finish the race, so off I went. Doing this did push my unstable stomach to puke, but I did what I could for Brian.

Easy run on the Laurel Trail...it was exciting because the trail looked really pretty and fun! Can't wait until tomorrow's adventure!

Easy run around Sugarloaf w/ Kelsey - felt the tempo intervals from yesterday...or maybe it was more that this was my first morning in about a month and my body didn't want to move that early! Either way, fun relaxing run.

Tempo run - warmed up wtih Brian to Sugarloaf, then he took off. I wanted to get these over with, so after my 15 or 20 minute warmup I got started with the first one (from the absolute bottom of the trail up and over N. Sugarloaf) - 15 minutes, then I recovered for about 5 minutes around the top of Sugarloaf before doing the next interval around the bike trail (15 minutes), 5 minute recovery and last interval back to the top of S. Sugarloaf (about 3 minutes in the mtn. bike trail) and then down the mountain. Felt good, but not outstanding...cooled down for about 20 minutes +/- back to the house.

Easy run around Earl's Trails. Was a bit drizzly, and the roots were slick and there were mud puddles everywhere, so I ran easy and carefully. :)
