Running (Easy run) 2:20:00 [1] 14.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Super easy run along the trails at Vermont...honestly I'm not quite sure how long or how far we went. I was up on the VT100 course with Zeke, to check out the course and clear the trails as needed. We were hampered and stopped a few times due to downed trees, beaver ponds, and stuff like that. Oh well - great to run on those trails and remember what I love about VT! We did a section from mile 54-56, mile 48-49, and mile 70-79 (plus extra mileage to get back to Zeke's car). Legs felt good.

Easy run on the VT100 trails w/ Zeke and Kelly. Had a great time. I got there earlier than the rest, and ran from mile 70 to mile 65 and back...felt great (just after mile 65 is the highest point on the course, so it was climbing for many miles, and then screaming down a great downhill!). Then met up with Zeke and Kelly, and Zeke and I ran mile 34-37, then Kelly and I ran mile 44-45, and mile 48-54. It felt good, and I remembered yet again how the ups and downs feel on the legs out there on the course...good reminder!

Easy run on the bike path with Aaron J. and Mike. It was 70 when we started at 5:30am and 80 when we finished at 7am...and about 95% humidity...so I was dripping sweat but felt mostly ok. We found fields to run through to collect cool dew on the legs and stuck to the shade as best we could. Man...crazy how hot it's been.

Well, I almost did a track workout - I warmed up with Kelsey (~15 minutes, 1.5 miles on the trails) then we hit the track. I was scheduled to do 5 x 1 mile, but it was a disaster...the air was so thick that I couldn't breath, and I did 6:20, 6:20 and was just struggling to breath (asthma or allergies, my doctor hasn't figured it out yet...but only under certain circumstances does it bother me like this). I just ran laps aroudn the track for the rest of the time while Kelsey did the workout...then we hit the trails for a quick cooldown before I headed to work. I am embarrassed to not finish the workout, but I literally couldn't do it this morning!

Easy run in the ~100-degree weather. Aaron and I took it easy (I even brought water), but after he nearly passed out we turned around early from the run...it was just so incredibly hot out there!!!

Easy run at Noho race w/ Rachel (athlete) - we warmed up, and then I paced her for her 5k race, then cooled down. Felt a-ok, since it was a relaxed pace for me.

Day off - sleep day! Honestly, I'm a bit banged up, but the legs feel mostly ok. :)
