Orienteering (Team Race) 2:55:00 [3] 26.0 km (6:44 / km)

Raid the Hammer event with Ali and Alex. It was a ton of fun...we did a bit of orienteering (which for me was just running crazy through the woods trying to keep up with the other two girls while not breaking an ankle), plus some trail running and road running/urban adventure. I honestly felt a bit flat, but I think that the running through the woods was a strength running that I just don't practice and it wore me out. I was pretty beat by the end. Luckily, only my calves were a bit twingy at the end.

Running (Easy run) 51:00 [1] 6.0 mi (8:30 / mi)

Easy run w/ Abby and Annie. Much as Abby says she is recovering from having her first baby and 'slow'...we did a great pace and all felt comfortable/conversational. It was great to run with her again! Legs feel great for tomorrow - I just hope I can keep up with Ali and Alex.

Running (Easy run) 1:00:00 [1] 7.5 mi (8:00 / mi)

Easy run w/ Sarah around Easthampton, on bike path and thru downtown. Felt good, a bit sluggish in the early morning cold.

Running (Easy run) 1:02:00 [1] 6.0 mi (10:20 / mi)

Easy run on Earl's Trails with Brad and Brian. Felt good...was a super crummy day and super slippery on the wet leaves, but nice to move the legs a bit.

Running (easy run) 55:00 [1] 6.0 mi (9:10 / mi)

Easy run w/ Mike and Aaron. Super cold morning again...but nice to have the sun come up early in the run! We ran our loop through Amherst trails, and the bike path. My legs feel pretty good...but again, I'm not pushing the pace at all.

Walking 1:15:00 [1] 4.0 mi (18:45 / mi)

Brian and I walked to Sugarloaf, up and over, and back. Just wanted to move the legs in the afternoon...but not really feeling a run in the cold as the flurries started to fly.

Orienteering 1:10:00 [1] 6.0 km (11:40 / km)

Did a bit of orienteering practice with Alex at the Notch. We warmed up a bit with some running (with a map - still a tough skill!) - it was 20 degrees when we started. Then, we did an orange course. I only had one bobble along the way...otherwise I am starting to get a better gut sense of the basics. Yay! Luckily, the legs are already feeling pretty a-ok.

Running (Easy run) 35:00 [1] 4.0 mi (8:45 / mi)

Easy run around Northampton...shake out the legs and all. Except for the stiff hammies, things actually feel pretty good.
