Walking 1:30:00 [1] 4.0 mi (22:30 / mi)

Long walk around Austin - from the Terranova's house to the book store and back. Just wanted to flush the legs out (and enjoy the warmth). Everything is a bit stiff, but feels ok. Yay!

Biking (Spinning) 20:00 [2] 5.0 mi (4:00 / mi)

Spun on Meredith's bike, which has the power cranks on it...so it was harder than I wanted to do for too long, and I was nervous that it would work the hammie too much. So, I did enough to get the heart rate up, and then stretched.

Running (Ultra) 9:35:00 [2] 50.0 mi (11:30 / mi)

Did Nueces 50 miler. Uuugghhh...I would have loved this course, but my stupid injured (partially torn) hamstring wasn't cooperating. I started the day not knowing if it was healed or not, and found out quickly that it was healed enough that I could shuffle, but not enough that I could actually open up the stride and race the way I wanted to. So, I swallowed the pride, shuffled along, and enjoyed the day, hoping to not injure the hamstring more than was needed.

Biking (Easy spin) 1:00:00 [1] 15.0 mi (4:00 / mi)

Again, just in case I'm not able to run tomorrow, I wanted to get in something today. I spun easy, and hoped for the best. According to my 'hammie test', I think I"m cleared to try to run tomorrow...just don't know if it'll hold out for 50 miles.

Biking (Easy spin) 1:00:00 [1] 15.0 mi (4:00 / mi)

After flying across the country, luckily the Terranovas are just like Brian and I, and they have their bikes up on trainers...and were ok with us using them! It meant I was able to get the blood flowing after the traveling. Just in case I can't do anything on Saturday, I didn't want to take several days off...

Biking (Easy spin) 1:00:00 [1] 15.0 mi (4:00 / mi)

Again, while the girls were out running, I was on the bike spinning...solidary is all I got now...hammie still hurts, not cleared to run yet.

Erging 1:00:00 [2] 11.0 km (5:27 / km)

Went to the gym with Brian, and erged away...just for variety from the bike (which I'll be stuck on for the next several days). Mixed in an interval workout, just for funsies, but really just tried to get in a full hour of movement. I did use the erg (and do intervals) at the same time the girls were at the track - and took a bit of solice in that...solidarity!

Biking (Easy spin) 1:00:00 [1] 15.0 mi (4:00 / mi)

Easy bike ride, just to get in some training, since it'll be nothing but cross training htis week...

Biking (Easy spin) 1:30:00 [1] 24.0 mi (3:45 / mi)

After visiting Dr. Weiss and confirming my injury (partially torn hamstring), he told me I was allowed to cross train only (if it didn't hurt) and rest/stretch. With the US 50 mile champs on Saturday, I have to do everything I can to be healthy for the race...meaning spinning on the bike and not even attempting to run until I'm cleared to do so.
