Running (Easy long run) 4:10:00 [1] 21.0 mi (11:54 / mi)

Easy long run with Kelsey A. - did from Cranberry Lake to Wendell SP and back, and then we had about 40 minutes left, so we ran/hiked up Toby and back. Great run...again, I dragged a bit 2.5-3 hours into the run, and then got a bit of a second wind.

Brian and I walked up and over Sugarloaf - just trying to take in the amazing day. I was also glad to move the stiff legs and hope to flush stuff out a bit.

Running (Long run) 4:05:00 [1] 22.0 mi (11:08 / mi)

Easy but long run at the Notch - first did the RFT (and M&M) from the Notch to Bay Road...and did a few other loops on that side of the road, and finished up with a lap through Earl's Trails. Felt good, and was especially great to pick up the tempo towards the end of the run - chasing down mountain bikers.

Easy run in Holyoke with Abby and Rachael. Felt good...certainly a bit tired from this week...but a-ok otherwise. Yay!

Easy run w/ Aaron to Sugarloaf, up and back...since I had such a long training week, I was ok with his quick run option...and it felt good.

Easy run with Greg at Holyoke Res...I am tired from the last few days of running, but glad to shake the legs out a bit around the Holyoke Res. and the trails there.

Easy run w/ Dana from her house to bike path, and around Amherst College trails a bit. Felt great...glad the leg/hamstring is ok. Yay!

Easy run around Noho with Amanda, Jess, and Laura. Felt good...I think we started super easy, and picked it up a bit when we dropped off Amanda, and then Laura and I cranked through the last 2 miles after Jess left us. Legs feel great - body is a bit tender from yesterday's circuit session, but it's a great pain!!!

Running (Hill Tempo Run) 1:20:00 [3] 8.5 mi (9:25 / mi)

Did mountain tempo run w/ Abby, Ashley, and Dawn at Mt. Tom. We warmed up ~2.25 miles (20 minutes?), then did 4.5 miles tempo from Rt. 5, up and around Whiting, and up B17 - so uphill for ~0.5 mile (100' climb), flat/rolling for 3 miles, then steep up last 1 mile (800' climb). Ugghh! I felt ok until we hit B17, then I did my ultrarunning shuffle and the mountain chicks kicked my butt! It was hard, took me 40 minutes of tempo. We recovered super easy back down (other ladies had stomach issues, so we were almost walking)...and back to cars. Man, it'll make me stronger, but they beat me up!!!

Yoga (Stretching!!!) 20:00 [1]

I was very good about stretching today - after my morning run, I spent 10 minutes stretching, and then again before and after my afternoon run - plenty of stretching. Yay! Pat on the back.

Easy run at the Holyoke Reservoirs. Ok, so I"m a moron at 5am, and I accidently went to the Res instead of Frank's house for this morning's run...so I ran alone. No worries - I got a bit worked up thinking about this year's goals...and I found myself breathing hard from time to time along the run. Was great to get out!

Biking (Spinning) 1:00:00 [1] 15.0 mi (4:00 / mi)

Spin on the trainer while I watch TV on a crappy afternoon. Got myself a bit worked up, so I was working hard by the end...but felt great.

Circuits (Deck of Cards) 45:00 [1]

Did a deck of cards circuit routine, focusing on the hamstring/leg strength. Felt better than last time...but we'll see how the legs recover afterwards as the true test.

Yoga 15:00 [1]

Was very good with stretching - did some yoga/stretching following my circuits/biking...

Monday Apr 22, 2013 #

Running (Trail run) 1:30:00 [1] 9.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Easy run w/ Brad at Mt. Norwottuck...ran around RFT to Harris Mt. Road, then doubled back on some of the trails. Felt good...still a bit sluggish on uphills, but oh well. Glad to run with Brad and see his super cute dog.
