Running (Hiking/running) 3:30:00 [1] 14.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Hike/run in the Whites with Larisa and Rob...I got to knock off 3 more of my 4,000 footers that I don't think I've gotten in the past. Larisa and I were both feeling the fact that we raced on Saturday, so our climb was sluggish, but it was great to enjoy the downhills and work on my technical running. Man, I'm so tired!

Running (Mt. Washington) 2:55:00 [3] 18.0 mi (9:43 / mi)

Mt. Washington race! Warmed up a bit with Abby and Kelsey...and then we were off. 7.6 miles, 4700 feet of climbing...and mentally I just didn't have anything to give, and I ended up hiking pretty early and pretty often. Was suprised to finish in 1:37 (considering how slow I felt I was going), and just outside the top 30 ladies. I guess that's not too bad. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day with clear views - so I jsut kept my head up and took it all in. Ran down afterwards with Larisa - an amazing and epic day!

Running (Grand Prix race) 55:00 [4] 7.5 mi (7:20 / mi)

Did the USATF-NE Grand Prix race tonight - had to represent for the team. Warmed up from the registration to the start/finish area with most of the team - legs felt ok, just a bit of tightness up the front of my leg, but I know that's a nervous thing that sometimes happens. The race went off, and I found myself the 2nd runner for the team, and then I caught Apryl and tried to pull her along with me - we hit the first mile at 5:45 - and then I dropped her. Felt good, hit mile 2 in 5:50, and started to have a revolt from my body who isn't used to turning over like that, but tried to hold on - mile 3 in 5:55, finished in 18:04 (oh man, so close to a sub 18! New PR baby!). In what universe can an ultrarunner be the top runner on such an amazing team, and almost break 18? It was a downhill course, but still - legs felt great and really just turned over as best they could. The ladies all did well, with many getting new PRs. So proud to be out there last night, it was fun! Did a quick cooldown to the cars, as my hamstrings were already barking...oh man, hope I don't pay for this on Saturday at Washington!

Running (Shake-out run) 50:00 [1] 5.5 mi (9:05 / mi)

Shake-out run with Abby - ran from her house, up B17 and then back. B17 was literally about 1" deep of running water, so it was exceptionally sluggish...but glad to feel the grind of elevation. Legs are feeling ok, I'm still just a bit tired.
