Running (Trail run w/ race) 1:35:00 [3] 12.5 mi (7:36 / mi)

WMDP Cross country race - warmed up on the 5k course, then did the 5k xc race (20:03, not bad for my first short/fast race in a while, and considering that it was xc with loose trails and grass), the cooled down on the course, plus another bonus loop of the trails. Good day of running.

Note

Didn't do any strength - was gone all day with the xc race...and then did house projects with Nick and Sarah. Almost want to count the few hours of painting and then hour of yard work that we did as strength...but oh well!

Running (Trail run) 2:30:00 [1] 15.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Easy run on the trails - felt great, and really enjoyed the run! Did Earl's Trails with Jason...Liz joined us for a portion of the run. Glad to get the run in early - got many house projects in during the rest of the day, so I'm finally unpacked from our Washington adventure!

Circuits 3:00 [3]

Did 6 x 30 seconds of planks...just had to do something quick to get in some abs, but was super busy.

Running (Easy run) 1:00:00 [1] 7.0 mi (8:34 / mi)

Easy run w/ Karin around Northampton. Felt better than other days...but glad for the easy pace (Karin is tapering for a marathon on Sunday so we took it easy!).

Running (Easy run) 1:05:00 [1] 8.0 mi (8:07 / mi)

Easy run around Amherst (bike path and college trails) with Aaron J. before work. Felt a bit tired during the run, but think that it's cause I'm still sleep deprived from the red eye the other night...and the fact that the kitty is waking me up a few times a night...I'll get used to it and catch up on sleep soon!

Circuits 10:00 [1]

Strength of the day - did 120 abs (crunches, leg lifts and bicycles), and 50 'double poles' on the slide board at the highest setting.

Running (Trail run) 1:30:00 [1] 9.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Morning trail run with Jason and Sarah D. - Sugarloaf around and about. Felt a bit tough for me...but it's the transition from hiking (and running downhill) only to running up and down stuff, continuously. Otherwise - great to get back into the swing of things.

Walking (Hike) 1:30:00 [1] 5.0 mi (18:00 / mi)

Hiked w/ Steph around Amherst trails near her house. Good to move the legs...and to catch up with her.

Circuits 10:00 [1]

Strength of the day (still working my way into this...) - 30 raised leg dips, 60 sit-up/leg lifts.

Biking (Spinning) 1:00:00 [1] 15.0 mi (4:00 / mi)

Easy spin on the bike...good to use the legs in a non-running/hiking motion...and good to catch up on the TV shows that I've missed over the past few weeks. :)

Circuits 15:00 [1]

I'm putting this in here - because I've been increasingly frustrated with my upper body and core strength - so hopefully logging my efforts will make me more regular about doing them! So, I did 50 knee pushups (pathetic, but that's what I can do) and 150 sit-up/abs. Will hope to increase this in the future - but it's a start...

Running (Hiking/running) 4:10:00 [1] 9.5 mi (26:19 / mi) +5000ft 17:34 / mi

Hiked/ran most of the way up Mt. Pugh in Washington with Brian. We hiked up, but turned around just below the summit - someone (*brian*) got sketched out by the trail and did an about face. Still, we saw snow and glaciers near the top, and finally got an amazing view of Rainier! We boogied the downhill back to the car - totally runnable and fun!
