Running (Long trail run) 3:30:00 [1] 18.0 mi (11:40 / mi)

Long trail/snow run at the Notch. Ran the RFT towards East Mtn Road, but lapped around on snowmobile trails, did some Earl's Trails running, then ran out on RFT to find Brian. I honestly felt great, just had the energy to keep going...this was the confidence booster that I needed to let me know my legs know how to go and go...yay!

Long snow/trail run at the Notch with Jess and Meghan. Felt good - we explored some snowmobile trails on Earl's Trails side, then did a quick lap of the Mt. Norwottuck side. Trails are in fairly good condition (a bit of ice), but it was warm and we ran in spandex and short sleeve shirts! Just a great day to be outside!

Spun on the trainer for a bit...just wanted to do something, but I didn't have any company for a run and it was cold and super windy outside...just couldn't motivate for that! :)

Running (Tempo Track) 1:00:00 [3] 8.0 mi (7:30 / mi)

Went to the track with the CF folks - warmed up with Laura a bit outside, then more inside with Laura and Mac. We did 3 x mile repeats, first at 'marathon pace', 2nd a bit faster, and 3rd at 'half marathon pace' - did 7:16, 6:56, 6:34. Felt good and controlled. Easy 1/4 - 1/2 mile between each, and had enough time for a more decent (1-1.5 mile?) cool down. Was great - felt great to run at that pace and be breathing normally. :)

Warmed up a bit outside, then a bit more inside. Did a ladder (400, 800, mile, mile, 800, 400) with Apryl and Patrick. My goal was to hit around 6:00 pace, if possible...I hit 1:31 and 3:01 on the way up, then just couldn't hold it together for the miles as I did 6:07, 6:06. Luckily, got some mojo back down the ladder with 2:59, 1:25. Not bad...cooled down quickly before it was off to work. Overall, I wish I could have hit the miles a bit harder, but in general I was pleased to have pushed my pace a bit and be remembering how to turn the legs over.

Running (Easy road run) 45:00 [1] 5.0 mi (9:00 / mi)

I'll admit, my plan was to go home after work and maybe have a down afternoon...but then I stepped outside for lunch and found out it was beautiful outside! I had to run! Luckily, I met up with Kate and we did an easy 45 minutes around northern Amherst. I didn't have shorts with me (why would I think to have them with me?) but I did have 3/4 length tights and a tshirt...and it was glorious to run in them. What an amazing afternoon to be outside!!!

Ran at the Notch - on one hand, I feel like I did that section of trail fairly quickly...on the other hand, it was loose snow and poor footing, kind of a 'two steps forward, one step back' type feeling. Oh well. Glad to get out, on my own...

Did some weights with Steph - pushed the squats today...but not as sore as other times at the gym!
