Running (Indoor track workout) 1:00:00 [4] 8.0 mi (7:30 / mi)
Warmed up a bit outside, then a bit more inside. Did a ladder (400, 800, mile, mile, 800, 400) with Apryl and Patrick. My goal was to hit around 6:00 pace, if possible...I hit 1:31 and 3:01 on the way up, then just couldn't hold it together for the miles as I did 6:07, 6:06. Luckily, got some mojo back down the ladder with 2:59, 1:25. Not bad...cooled down quickly before it was off to work. Overall, I wish I could have hit the miles a bit harder, but in general I was pleased to have pushed my pace a bit and be remembering how to turn the legs over.
Running (Easy road run) 45:00 [1] 5.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
I'll admit, my plan was to go home after work and maybe have a down afternoon...but then I stepped outside for lunch and found out it was beautiful outside! I had to run! Luckily, I met up with Kate and we did an easy 45 minutes around northern Amherst. I didn't have shorts with me (why would I think to have them with me?) but I did have 3/4 length tights and a tshirt...and it was glorious to run in them. What an amazing afternoon to be outside!!!
