Running (Trail race) 3:48:00 [3] 26.2 mi (8:42 / mi)

Trail marathon at the VIC at Paul Smiths. I took a few wrong turns (maybe ran 26.5 miles?), but felt good in general. The legs were pretty tired, so I felt like I was dragging a 10-pound weight up all the hills - but otherwise ran strong. Finished the first loop in 1:58, and wanted to break 4 hours, so I pushed the later portion of the 2nd lap, surprising myself by negative splitting (even with it getting a bit hotter) to finish in 3:48.

Finished 4th overall and 1st female, altho I hear that one of the guys ahead of me cut the course a bit...so maybe I'm on the overall podium? Either way, I'm pleased with my time and the effort given.

Biking around Canton (at times with 20 pounds of veggies on my bike) to get to the CSA farm and back.

Brian and I did a hike/run in the ADKs, attempting the Great Range. I had forgotten how technical this route is...and it didn't help that it rained the night before, making all the rocks super slick. Anyway, we bailed a bit early, skipping Haystack and Marcy, but still got in a solid day on the trails.

Trail run w/ Eric at Earl's Trails - it was hot and muggy this morning...again. Nice to stretch the legs out. :)

Ran w/ Brian at Toby - up the back way and back down. We mostly hiked up, but enjoyed the run back down. Legs feel a bit sluggish.

Trail run around Sugarloaf with Jason. It was already over 70 degrees and super muggy...was literally dripping with sweat for most of the run.

Ducked the heat and spun instead. My legs are pretty beat anyway, so not the worst thing...

Easy run around Holyoke Reservoir with Liz. Even in the morning, it was pretty darn muggy! :)

Running (Trail run) 55:00 [1] 6.0 mi (9:10 / mi)

Easy trail run w/ Laura around Earl's Trails...was hot and muggy...so we cut it short. Glad to get out.

After we finished, we spent a good 15 minutes just stretching, which was great!
