Running (Trail running) 3:38:00 [1] 15.1 mi (14:26 / mi)
ahr:135 max:162

Trail run (on snow) around the Notch...had tons of company along the way! Trails weren't so bad (considering) on the Norwottuck side...felt tired, but mostly ok...

Running (Road run and race) 2:37:00 [3] 18.5 mi (8:29 / mi)
ahr:155 max:178

Long run with the Holyoke 10k. Warmed up over 7 miles, then did the Holyoke 10k. Felt a bit tired...couldn't get my heart rate high, and felt like I just cruised through that (ahr - 170, mhr - 178) - finish time 43:07, uuggh! Cooled down with another 5ish miles. Felt tired, but glad to get in another high mileage day.

Circuits (HIIT) 30:00 [3]

Colleen's class. Man, I'm pretty tired (and sore) today. Was good to do some different strength stuff and stretch the body out a bit...

Running (Trail run) 58:00 [1] 4.1 mi (14:09 / mi)
ahr:137 max:156

Ran on Earl's Trails with Colleen. Trails were in rough shape...ankle twisty and all.

Running (Road run) 55:00 [1] 6.7 mi (8:13 / mi)
ahr:148 max:162

Road run through Pelham with Ruthie and Dana. Luckily, with Dana there, the pace was a bit more relaxed.

Running (Road run) 1:52:00 [1] 13.3 mi (8:25 / mi)
ahr:149 max:160

Ran around South Amherst with Caroline. Felt a bit sluggish and tired - was it the lifting the other day, the new running shoes, or what? Anyway, glad to get in a medium long run mid-week.

Running (Workout) 1:10:00 [3] 8.7 mi (8:03 / mi)
ahr:156 max:179

Road run/workout with Molly, Kelly Anne and Caroline. Ran around South Deerfield - it was a cold (20-degree) and blustery morning, so we opted to run around the neighborhoods in hopes that the houses would provide some relief from the wind. Anyway, warmed up 19 minutes, then did 4 x 1 mile with 3 minutes recovery [interval was 1.02 miles, so my mile paces are in brackets]:
Mile 1 - 6:45 [6:37] (166/174)
Mile 2 - 6:31 [6:23] (171/178)
Mile 3 - 6:27 [6:19] (174/178
Mile 4 - 6:25 [6:17] (174/179)
Cooled down for 14 minutes. Felt pretty good during the intervals. Surprised that my legs weren't heavy from this weekend.

Weights (Lifting) 30:00 [3]

Had only 1/2 hour to lift - so I hammered the legs and then did just a bit of abs.

Running (Road run) 1:08:00 [1] 8.7 mi (7:49 / mi)

Run with Ruthie around Amherst - she picked out a hilly route. Was windy, but warmer. She pushed the pace a bit...would have liked to see my heart rate, since I know the pace was just a hair faster than typical for me.

Note

Day off! It was crummy outside, and I was just flat out tired all day (perhaps it was the sleeping pills that I took). So, for once, I listened to my training plan and took a day off from everything!

Running (Road run) 52:00 [1] 6.1 mi (8:31 / mi)
ahr:139 max:152

Easy road run in Holyoke with Abby and Laura. Roads were a bit icy, but not bad. Legs are a bit sore/tight, but not really tired.
