Note

Thank goodness that I got in mega miles on Saturday...I was hoping to get out a bit on Easter morning, but was chained to the kitchen with hosting duties so I never left the house...bummer!

Running (Road run) 2:16:00 [1] 16.3 mi (8:21 / mi)

Long run with Karin around Northampton (did the first portion of her long run with her). Felt good, relaxed, miles ticked off.

Running (Longer road run) 3:16:00 [3] 22.0 mi (8:55 / mi)

After about 2 hours recovery from my run with Karin, I joined Lisa and Kristin for their long run at Green River Road. Started off easy for start through mile 6, then 'tempo' (for Lisa) for miles 6-14, then easy for 2 miles, then tempo miles 16-19, then whatever you've got for miles 19-21, easy for last mile. We were at 9:15 or so on our easy sections, and around 8:30 pace for the 'tempo' portions, and cruised at 7:45s for the last few miles. Felt good, but tired at the end...

Given that I was supposed to run a 6 hour race today (but cancelled to stay closer to home and help with pre-Easter stuff), I was glad to get in some good miles anyway.

Ran around Sugarloaf with Sara. Felt good...

Ran around Northampton/dirt roads with Sarah. Felt good!

Tuesday Mar 22, 2016 #

Running (Road run) 1:13:00 [3] 10.3 mi (7:05 / mi)

Tempo road run. Ran Whately loop (and added on). Started with 4 miles easy, then tried to hold 6:30 - 6:45 pace for the next 4 miles (6:55, 6:48, 6:23, 6:25 = 6:38 average pace). Cooled down 2 miles easy. Tempo was rolling uphill for the first 2 miles, hence the slow times. Felt a bit challenging, but good to cruise around.

Monday Mar 21, 2016 #

Easy run around Holyoke with Abby and Molly. Legs felt stiff, but better as the run went on. Ran around the reservoir (which was snowy), so I'm sure that helped us run slow...not that I needed any help with that!
