Included in this piece was a 100m try for a PR. Tried Charlie's technique for these shorter pieces: fast, short strokes with a cadence over 40spm. Didn't seem to result in much improvement. Don't know how Charlie does it; a couple years ago he averaged 45spm for a one-minute piece where he pulled an incredible pace of 1:34.9. Mine today was a lazy 1:46.5.
Still at bottom of age group, and 0.2 seconds slower than last season. To get into middle of age group, need to be a couple seconds faster. Gotta keep doing these at end of my daily workout, or maybe at the beginning.
