NordicTrak 10:00 [3]

Erg rowing 24:50 [3] 5000.0 km ( / km)

Just didn't have it this morning....yesterday's short speed-ups?

But I did tear the Concept II apart and do the full recommended maintenance which consisted of cleaning, vacuuming the innards, and lubricating the chain. All made a significant difference.

There seemed to be little visible dust to vacuum...until I noticed a thick 1/2" mat of dust around the inside of the screen. Getting rid of that really improved air flow; now I feel a distinct breeze when I row. And the chain is slickly quiet and smooth.

Erg rowing 23:07 [3] 5.0 km (4:37 / km)

Sunday morning. A bit of speed: 949m in 4 minutes. Way down the rankings still. But better pace than the 1000m last Sunday, which I credit to Charlie's 'strong & slow' training. Back is now 100% since I began those brief fartleks.

Contained in this workout is a 1000m piece at 4:13.2 for a pace of 2:06.6...my fastest piece this Fall. And second speed piece this week. Progress.

Not feeling it this morning; sore arms and delts. Just happy to be done.

New PR for Fall. But 64" above last May's best. Definitely feeling better on the Concept II.

Now shower, and grab the clubs; out to Round Lake Beach for a round of golf on a course that has posted a "No Carts" sign on their website. It will be interesting to see how many golfers up in leafy Lake Co. are willing to walk.
