Erg rowing 9:57 [3] 2.0 km (4:59 / km)
Post-surgery. Unable to shower. And supposed to 'not exert' myself to possibly cause blood vessels to reopen around the 3" diameter hole carved into my leg yesterday by the Mohs procedure to remove the small squamous-cell growth.
Took all morning. Going back and forth from the waiting room to the OR. While lots of others (mostly 60+ it seemed) wandering around also, with white bandages on various limbs and facial features. I guess by comparison I'm lucky.
No stitches....just going to let the large cavity heal 'from inside.' Which means it will be an open sore for a couple of months. And require twice daily soaking and maintenance, as flesh supposedly starts to reform and fill in. And then skin magically will regrow across the surface of the new flesh. All told, it could be a couple of YEARS before this thing is fully healed. Amazing!
