Run down to the Lakefront in 90+ weather about 2pm. Lots of activity. Water over 80 degrees! Swam a good piece in choppy open water, not protected by a breakwater from the strong southerlies.

Swimming 20:00 [3] 1.0 km (20:00 / km)

Charlie and PG, both 'youngsters' by my definition, are bemoaning their loss of interest in running. And bl is apparently suffering from some lameness.

So this is where all the runners in my age group disappeared? And the reason that I'm currently #3 in my NE Illinois 2016 ranking. All the guys who were miles better than me, pulled up lame, lost interest, or couldn't bear the pain! Great motivation to keep on keeping on!

Running race 1:05:00 [4] 4.1 mi (15:51 / mi) +5m 15:48 / mi
shoes: NewBalance NBX Flats

Run for Walk (no not George), Evanston, IL. A nice leafy course though the streets of Evanston, over to the Lakefront and back. Eight minutes slower than last year. Wow! Really slowing down for some reason. But still I felt good, enjoyed the race, and liked the L ride home. :-)
