NordicTrak 10:00 [3]

Erg rowing 30:00 [3] 6.4 km (4:41 / km)

Sunday morning 30-minute row. Felt great, even better at the end. Pacing spliits, in time per 500m:

2:25.5
2:22.5
2:21.7
2:20.2
2:14.4......overall pace: 2:20.8 per 500m

Not a bad piece; longer and faster than anything recent. But it took a while to get there.

Note: As a result of my comment about the O/NA December cover, my log has been designated a 'noisy log' for the past couple of days. The only log so designated...for a lousy 6 comments. Not sure I like the notoriety. Hope other a/p'ers understand that my comment yesterday was supposed to be a compliment...for both Donna as well as Evalin.

NordicTrak 10:00 [3]

Erg rowing 29:10 [3] 6.0 km (4:52 / km)

A couple of days of excellent golf on Thursday and Friday. Cold, raw, gray, 30's....perfect golf weather! Golf courses are in excellent shape, all the leaf fall having been cleaned up. So the turf is still green and strong, a bit muddy perhaps, but still provides good footing and ball-roll. But the best part: no one else plays in these conditions! So I can just walk on the best courses in the area and have the place to myself! No fat guys in golf carts charging up from behind!

Note: Am I the only one who thinks the cover of O/NA for December is sexy as hell? It's about time our sport started to feature babes, instead of dedicated but crusty old men.

NordicTrak 10:00 [3]

Erg rowing 32:00 [4] 6.5 km (4:55 / km)

A 1-2-3-4-3-2-1 minute ladder workout, responding to Charlie's suggestion for more short sprints. Felt beat in the downside of the ladder. But was able to better my pace at the end. Shown are each step of ladder, going up...then going down...down pace:

1min...238m...250m...2:00.0min/500m
2min...439m...450m...2:13.3
3min...660m...650m...2:18.4
4min...875m....2:17.1

All and all, a pretty satisfying workout. Certainly more interesting than just crankin' the k's. But lots of room for improvement.
