Over to the hardware store at 8am. A tenant had self-destructed his apartment door lock in the middle of the night. And sent me an email. So I was up there early and had to wrench off the broken lock. First time I've ever seen a deadbolt self-destruct.

Then a doctor appointment downtown, and lunch w Sari. Cool day; nice walking weather.

Cooler today, but still very nice. The City is replacing the water main in front of the building this week. Infrastructure rebuilding! Who needs Washington?

Now wearing a Heart Monitor for the first time. A device with four sensors connected to my chest, and transmitting through a special cell phone in my back pocket to a computer and screen a thousand miles away. So high tech! Wish I had some feedback on what it is recording during my 'workout.'

Out to Starbucks at 6am. Then downtown to multiple doctor appointments as follow-ups to surgery three weeks ago. Like a pack of feeding vultures, these docs won't allow a respectable rest period before descending upon you again and again. Had almost to begin yelling: 'Don't need it; don't want it!!' Guess the concept of 'Due Diligence' is not popular in the medical community.

After a week on Soupbone's Nordic Trak, time to amp it up and begin rowing. Kept the pace over 2:30/500m. But still got heart rate up faster than any other time post-op. Hope I'm not overdoing it. Don't think at any point I was pulling more that the 10lb limit the doc imposed. Don't want to pull those staples loose.
