Deer Creek GC, University Park. Took early (5:15am) train out of Millennium Park depot all the way down to far south suburbs. Then a bus, dropping me off right in front of the GC.
A beautiful warm morning; very sunny, gentle breeze. Perfect conditions! Everyone else thought so too...I played as a single walker, in the middle of a bunch of fat foursomes in carts...not a single other walker I could play with! So we kept moving, and completed the 18-hole round in 3-1/2 hours.
Then bus and train back to Flossmoor Station, one of the old Illinois Central stations made over into a brewpub, for broiled tilapia lunch. Picked up a couple of barrel-aged stouts in 22-oz 'bombers' to bring home. Good day!
