Orienteering (Canoe O) 45:00 [3]

Went out on canoe-O with Anna(5) & Jackson(3). I was doing all the work of course - had to back the canoe in to punch the controls, had to beach the boat and make a 'potty stop' for Jackson. But it was fun and a good upper body workout... Great weather for the weekend.

Orienteering (Pawtuckaway - Red Day 2) 1:17:39 [5] 6.2 km (12:31 / km)

Opted for Red today. The first 4-5 controls felt sluggish, a little hesitancy in the circle although navigation between the circles was good. The complex terrain from 6-13 had me initially wanting to just walk and pace count, but once into that area I found myself alternating between careful map reading/pace counting and brief bursts of speed (20-30 paces at a clip) which actually made that section go quickly and without incident - spiked everything in that area. Toward the end of the complex area I was in a small group and wanted to get away from the crowd so I bolted away toward the small pond - getting hung up in some blowdown crap temporarily, but then moving very fast and accurately for the remainder of the course.

Winner 1:02:04 (Gagarin), my time good for 10th

Orienteering (Pawtuckaway - Blue Day 1) 1:57:34 [4] 8.3 km (14:10 / km)

No orienteering in a long while - decided to push myself and went out on Blue. Not a bad run, had a few minor problems mostly less than ideal routes or getting into the circle and briefly hunting, didn't feel particularly 'fast' but still felt good on the latter part of the course when I actually expected to be completely spent.

Winning Time - 1:09:16 (Hawkins) 2nd 1:23:25 (Alar) & J-J at 1:34:18. My time good for 13th

Only treadmill available was a crappy LifeFitness, so I just opted for brisk flat run. Intended to do 5 miles, but time got short and I had to get back to work for an appointment.

8 sets of rolling hills, then fast slight downhill to 30 minute mark.

walked at 4mph until reached 5 miles total.
