Hiking 1:15:00 [2]8 km (9:22 / km) +125m 8:42 / km
shoes: Puma Sierra Trail Racers
Brisk walk home after my physical with new doctor (previous doctor semi-retired). Last physical was probably 10 years ago now, though I see the cardiologist annually. Anyway, he says I'm in fine shape, couldn't believe I had an angioplasty 8 years ago. It doesn't seem that long ago.

Got to talking orienteering and turns out he's the scoutmaster for one of the Boy Scout troops in town and a number of his scouts really enjoy orienteering on the Webster Scout Reservation. I told him that I was the one that made that map and that there was also a new map right here in Tolland (less than a km from his office).

I suspect we'll see some of the boy scouts at the meet in June and I'll probably volunteer to be an O merit badge counselor. Maybe it will get a few new people interested, who knows?

Totally guessing on my time (no watch) but estimated based upon when I got home

Monday Mar 3

Road Run (Lake / Eaton Loop) 35:24 [3]8 km (4:26 / km) +100m 4:10 / km
shoes: Adidas Response Trail 14
Started out to just do Hare and back, but the weather was nice (shorts) and the legs felt looser than yesterday, so after Hare I just kept going to repeat yesterday's loop. Strong on hills, downhills felt good but didn't push too hard. Good effort.

Still a lot of chest glarp and the sinuses are still pretty much impenetrable. Good thing I'm a mouth breather...

Sunday Mar 2

Road Run (Lake / Eaton Loop) 36:50 [3]8 km (4:36 / km) +100m 4:20 / km
shoes: Adidas Response Trail 14
Out to Lake via SLR, up to Eaton, loop around via Browns Bridge. Legs felt best pushing uphills, couldn't find comfortable stride on level/downhill stretches. Felt good to get out though..
Trainer (basement) 10:00 [2]3 km (3:20 / km)
shoes: Slipstream
10 minutes easy cooldown on the bike. Really can't wait to get it out on the roads.
